The World Is in Need of Peacemakers

Every community is in need of peacemakers —skilled, experienced and ready to bring biblical hope and wisdom into any conflict. 

Conflict is an opportunity to see what God will do.  Some of our deepest discipleship lessons are through the trial of conflict leading towards redemptive understanding, conflict resolution, and, when it is possible, relational reconciliation.

One of the best ways to gain skills in biblical peacemaking is to attend a Biblical Peacemaker Seminar.  It’s a full day event that will give you a rich understanding of how to resolve conflict in a biblically faithful manner. 

Each Biblical Peacemaker Seminar is a full day event led by an ICC Certified Christian Conciliator™ teaching practical skills that you’ll be able to use the same day….and for the rest of your life.

Throughout the seminar, you will learn basic peacemaking concepts about how to understand the nature of conflict so you can shift wisely to making healthy choices.  You’ll learn how to resolve conflict quickly wherever you are. 

Learning Objectives

You’ll explore over seven key peacemaking concepts, such as:

• The Four G’s:  A God-Centered Response to Conflict
• The Slippery Slope of Peace-Faking and Peace-breaking Responses
• The Three Opportunities of Peacemaking
• Identifying Heart Idolatry
• Seven A’s of Confession
• The PAUSE principle of Negotiating
• The Four Promises of Forgiveness

All the skills presented in the Biblical Peacemaking Seminar will increase your ability to better understand, manage, and navigate the complexity of any relational or work-related conflict you face in life. 

Scheduling

We suggest scheduling a Biblical Peacemaking Seminar in your church or community every 2-4 years to provide peacemaking discipleship to the community.  It is so practical in nature and will be of help to current and new members, plus provide an outreach opportunity to the larger city and regional network.

When you are ready to schedule your seminar, allow a six-month lead time prior to the event for advertising and registration.  ICC Peace will provide a registration link as well as seminar hosting instructions for the on-site seminar coordinator. 

The event can be sponsored by the church or paid per attendee or a combination of both. The cost of the seminar can be included in the registration form.  The event is suitable for mature high school students through adults.
